Shay Carroll, a two-time NFR heeler, originally from La Junta, Colorado, is an interesting guy. He’s an all-around hand who’s shown up in a short-brimmed custom hat to bulldog at places like the Cinch Timed Event Championships, and he’s a switch-ender who took a few years off of heeling to spin some steers. Now, he’s a horseman, who shows quarter horses for the elite breeders at DT Horses.

Shay’s last trip to the Finals was in 2016, and this year he’s teaming up with World Champion Levi Simpson.
