Alicia Harlov is a full time hoofcare provider on the North Shore of Massachusetts, and a member of Progressive Hoofcare Practitioners. Her passion for hoofcare started with her mustang Vinnie’s diagnosis with navicular disease and corresponding soft tissue damage. Determined to help him, she pursued as much education as she could, traveling throughout the United States and the UK to work with a variety of mentors covering various pathologies and rehabilitation techniques for hooves to achieve soundness. This eventually led her to leave her careeer as a public school teacher to focus on hoofcare.
She loves educating owners on how to grow the healthiest hoof possible and believes that getting a horse sound is often a matter of finding the right pieces to the puzzle. She is on a never-ending journey to find as many tools to help as she can.
When Alicia isn’t working on horses or checking in with their owners, she enjoys spending time with her husband, horses, dog, cat, and chickens
