As a part of the horse industry for over 40 years, I started riding English with a backyard trainer at the age of 8, moved up and on to compete locally and regionally through college. I loved riding hunters and equitation but after a life changing accident in the show ring, I switched to dressage and ultimately found my ‘Saddle Sister’ Sandy, while I was exploring trail riding with my aging show gelding. As a “lifer”, all I think about and work for is my horses. They’re a constant in my life… more constant than almost anything else and I’m always working towards some goal, big or small, that involves me being outside and with them!
