Christy Landwehr

Christy Landwehr

Christy Landwehr has been active in the horse industry for over 35 years showing and training in many different breeds and disciplines at the local, regional and national level. Christy is a Master Level Riding Instructor and Equine Facility Manager through the Certified Horsemanship Association.

Christy was CEO of the Certified Horsemanship Association for many years. Currently, she is the Senior Director of Corporate Relations for the National Reining Horse Association. Christy does strategic planning, facilitation and mediation through her company CJL Training for organizations and is a Real Colors Personality Trainer. Christy has spoken at numerous equine events, and breed and discipline conventions throughout her career. She lives on a ranch in Aurora, Colorado with her husband, two sons, horses, chickens, cats, a dog and a rabbit.

Sara Honegger

Sara Honegger

Sara Honegger grew up on the Central Coast of California and competed in High School Rodeo.  After visiting Oklahoma State University, she knew this was where she wanted to continue chasing her dreams. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications and a Master of Science in International Agriculture and competed on the OSU rodeo team, where she served as president for one term. After finishing college, she started her career with the National Reining Horse Association. She is now the Director of Marketing and Youth Programming and has traveled to seven countries to promote the sport of reining and increase youth participation. Although her focus is in the reining industry, promoting the western spirit is at the forefront of her efforts, whether it is as a 2023 COWGIRL Magazine 30 Under 30 recipient, across the globe with someone new to the industry, or as a founding board member of the OSU Alumni and Friends.
