This was such a fun conversation with Carlee Otero as she was getting ready to compete in the San Diego Rodeo this last weekend. Carlee is a 3X NFR Qualifier, mom of 5, and is back on the rodeo trail ready to make a run for the 2024 NFR. She didn’t start winning until Reno last year on her then 5yr old – Blingolena – and ended up the season in the top 20 – so we are betting on her this year! Carlee has two phases to her rodeo life with a little break in between and this conversation talks about the behind the scenes truths, the ups and downs of life, handling raising kids and a barrel racing career, starting over, selling great horses and seasoning new ones, and still pursuing your dreams to make the finals.
